180 entrepreneurs consolidate local networks at this increasingly popular event30/01/2012

Three years almost to the day since the first Members Rendez-Vous was held in the Mood’s bar, the CDE brought members together in the same venue, recently revamped and renamed Jimmy’z (the winter one) for this, the 12th edition.

With over 180 people attending, it was further proof of the growing success of these gatherings, which as well as updating members on the CDE’s latest news, provide an excellent opportunity for business people in Monaco to expand their local networks, across all sectors. Around 20 were represented from banking/finance to retail, industry, trade, construction and real estate.

In his speech, CDE Chairman Michel Dotta said the difficult economic situation has forced the CDE to revise its budget forecasts down. Describing the difficulty as representing “a new opportunity to progress”, he told members the CDE had a packed and diverse calendar of events this year, further evidence of a bolder, ever more imaginative approach to support them with their development. As if proof was needed, more and more companies are signing up with the result that the 400-member barrier has just been breached.

The CDE will be at Imagina Monaco from 7 to 9 February on a promotional drive, targeting exhibitors and visitors at this high profile show. The CDE stand is also available for member companies operating in this sector.

Another flagship event takes place this month, when the CDE leads a delegation accompanying HSH Prince Albert II’s official visit to Mali and Burkina-Faso, 12 to 17 February. At least 15 Monaco entrepreneurs who have projects in those two countries are signed up.

Lastly, an Ambassador’s Lunch focusing on Kazakhstan will be held at the Yacht Club de Monaco on 23 February.
