Monaco Week in China : the CDE’s report19/06/2015

It was to promote Monaco to the Chinese as a dynamic marketplace that the Monaco Chamber of Economic Development (CDE) was in Shanghai on 11 to 13 June, then Beijing from 15 to 17 June for the second Monaco Week in China. Alongside other Monegasque institutions and companies, the CDE was there to meet Chinese entrepreneurs to present the Principality as an ideal place in which to live and work. Monaco Week in China is the fourth event the CDE has organised under the aegis of HE Mrs Catherine Fautrier, Monaco’s Ambassador in China on Chinese territory, the others being a campaign at the Monaco Pavilion during the Shanghai Expo in 2010; a trade mission to Hong Kong and Shenzhen in 2013; and a promotional operation at Noahs Yacht Club......[Read more]


CDE members meet Monaco’s national statistics organisation - IMSEE16/06/2015

Around 70 entrepreneurs responded to the CDE’s invitation to a breakfast conference led by Lionel Galfré, Director of the Monegasque Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (IMSEE) on Tuesday 16 June to mark the launch of the latest edition of “Monaco en Chiffres”. It was the ideal opportunity for those present to learn more about the Institute’s activities and how business sectors are evolving in Monaco, which remains a unique market.  In his opening speech, CDE Chairman Michel Dotta, who is also a member of IMSEE’s Scientific Council, reminded the audience of the importance and fundamental advances made by this organisation which is “essential to gauge the Principality’s competitiveness and appeal”. CDE and DTC host “World Entrepreneur of the Year” finalists 04/06/2015

  This week Ernst & Young invited finalists of its “World Entrepreneur of the Year’ competition to the Principality: 65 winners from 53 countries, with combined revenues topping 38 billion US dollars and employing 340,000 people. Seizing the opportunity of having these highly successful entrepreneurs in Monaco, the CDE and the DTC (Monaco’s Tourist Authority) organised a reception to promote the Principality as a business location and put Monegasque entrepreneurs in contact with their foreign counterparts.
