Missions

To attract and develop companies in the Principality

Promoting Monegasque companies in the Principality and to the international world has been the CDE’s mandate for the last ten years. A private association, the CDE (Chambre de Développement Economique de Monaco) is financed by membership fees and support from the Monaco Government.

This mission encompasses two very separate yet complimentary tasks: to assist Monaco companies in their development and to seek new foreign investors.
In response to members’ expectations and by working closely with the Monaco Government, the CDE has implemented a proactive strategy in both these areas.

Services to member companies

Most notable are the organisation of trade missions in the Principality and abroad; and giving access to the CDE’s networks in Monaco and abroad. These for example include the Diplomatic Corps and Consulate of Monaco, and the International Chamber of Commerce, the ICC, for which the CDE is the National Committee member for Monaco.

Promoting Monaco abroad

In partnership with Monegasque institutions, alongside key players in the private business sector, the CDE organises and/or participates in events to present the Principality’s assets at investment fairs, trade shows, etc. Since 2009, this aspect of the CDE’s role has been expanded in its search for investors to develop projects linked to the themes which make Monaco such a unique place in terms of quality of life – security, education, health, environment, etc.

Personal welcome for investors and new members

The CDE supports all investors in the process of setting up, particularly with regards to the administrative procedures.

It is very active in its role as the organisation which unites the business community, and also provides an interface between the public and private sectors. Teams at the CDE work very closely with the Monaco Government to help investor applications already in hand to progress, and to advance those still at the project stage. They also serve as a vital link between CDE members and the Monegasque authorities.
